I was incredibly fortunate to have a 23-year career in television news that took me to places professionally and personally I never would have dreamed of when I first thought about entering the TV business as a kid.
Now, I am excited to help others reach their dreams and navigate what is a rapidly changing industry.
I saw those changes firsthand as News Director at WLEX in Lexington, KY from 2019 to 2023. Leading a newsroom through a pandemic and the “Great Resignation” was not easy but if there was one good thing that came out of that time, the smart news leaders started listening to their employees more about pay, better opportunities, quality of life, and other issues that have become increasingly important to them.
Having that experience of leading a newsroom through change, knowing what news directors and hiring managers want, and having relationships with key decision makers in markets across the country, leaves me well-positioned to help my clients find great opportunities and be a strong advocate for them.
Before becoming News Director in Lexington, I was the Assistant News Director at WXII, the Hearst Television-owned station in Winston-Salem, NC. Before that, I was an Executive Producer at the station and spent time as an EP at WGHP in High Point, NC.
I also produced for 10 years before going into news management with stops at KPIX in San Francisco, KCRA in Sacramento, WXII (my first stop there), and WTVH in Syracuse, NY.
In my off time, you can find me spending time with my lovely wife of 17 years, Katie, and my 10-year-old son, Jack. We remain in Lexington, the horse capital of the world, and just down the road from the Bourbon Trail.
I grew up in Kearny, NJ, just outside of New York City, and am a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University (Go Orange!).
